North London Samaritans has been given a grant of £545,0000 to rebuild Shaftesbury Hall to provide a centre for Samaritans’ volunteers and fund an amazing new public facility for local people.
The charity now needs to look to local businesses and individuals to raise £15,000 in the next 6 months to complete the project. If all goes to plan, NLS aim to start building work in the autumn of 2017 and complete it by…

You may have seen that a professional team have taken the roof off Shaftesbury Hall. This has been done to prevent squatters returning to the site whilst we apply to Big Lottery to refurbish the site.
The contractors were masked and suited when removing the asbestos. They have informed us that all the asbestos was removed in a day and hoses were sprayed on to the panels.
