Bowes Park EcoTeam - Save Energy, Water, and perhaps some Money!

Dear All,

I have recently set up an EcoTeam, and am looking for members in the Bowes Park/Bounds Green area to join me!

Together we will:

Meet new people in our community

Reduce our carbon footprints

Save money on our household bills

On average people taking part reduce:

Their energy and water bills by £170

The rubbish they throw away by 20%

The water they use by 15%

The amount of carbon they emit by 17%

You can join the Bowes Park EcoTeam in two easy steps:

1) Sign up here http://www.ecoteams.org.uk/user/register to join EcoTeams.

2) And then visit http://ecoteams.org.uk/og/subscribe/1192 to join my team Bowes Park EcoTeam

Alternatively, if you would like to be involved please contact Adam at adampaul128@gmail.com or 07841 457243 to find out more.  Dates and times of meetings to circulated shortly and will be held at OneTwoEight (128 Myddleton Road, Bowes Park N22 8NQ).

Kind regards,

Adam, sorry mate I'm going to have to pull out of the Monday meeting because of work matter arising but am giving you publicity on our blog spot for Bowes ward in Enfield (boweslabour.blogspot.com) and would be pleased to get together soon. To be honest, in our private lives my wife and I have been working hard to reduce our footprint, what I'm looking to work on now is community projects. The Climate Change Awareness Week starting 21 March is a good opportunity. and you should know that Bowes Primary School is running a sustainability week starting 2 May. I also got meetings soon with the Environment Agency re: cleaning waterways, just after recent work to ensure the replanting of trees that have been recently culled, it's an ongoing battle. Anyway, take care and speak soon, Alan

Dear All,

If you would like to find out more about the Bowes Park Eco Team, I will be at 128 Myddleton Road (OneTwoEight) on Monday 7th March at 7pm.  There is no commitment at this stage, but this meeting will provide an opportunity to find out more about how the EcoTeam works, and how your household may benefit from taking part, and to meet others interested in environmental issues.

Following on from this meeting, we will get together over the course of the next few weeks to discuss rubbish and shopping, energy, water and travel and hopefully learn from each other actions we can take which will lead to both carbon and financial savings!

Kind regards,

Adam

Hi Adam

I have left the springs and some water saving hippos in a carrier bag at the end of the community room.  Good luck.
