Just been in to Hellenic Gourmet, the new Greek deli on Myddleton Road, for the first time and I highly recommend it.
They have a huge selection of meats, cheeses, olives and every other sort of Greek food you can think of. All their stock seems to be direct from Greece and the owners are from Athens so it's all very authentic stuff.
And aside from friendly people and tasty food it's also very reasonably priced. They have great bottles of olive oil for just a few pounds and the packs of feta are cheaper than Tescos.
Well worth a visit.

Popped in earlier this evening. The food - particularly on the deli-counter - looked mouthwatering. The staff were friendly and welcoming and it is obvious that they have put a lot of effort into making the shop look good. Will definitely be back.
We had some great olives stuffed with almonds and a slice of Halva from a massive halva 'pie'. Next time we'll be trying the meats and cheeses. Great stuff - give it a try!
I tried the spicy sausage, which they warned me was very hot. It was, and tasted great. A great addition to the road.
The Italian (formerly Solo Way) that is being fitting out a few doors down is also looking good so far.
Thanks for the tip. We popped into the Hellenic Gourmet to have a look and loved it. We saw lots of favourite foods, beers and grocery brands from our holidays in Greece. The range in the deli counter was exceptional and I agree the prices are low. The freezer cabinet is worth a look too- we bought a bag spinach and feta filo rolls. We came out with a couple of carrier bags full of goodies!
Popped in at the weekend and came away with cheese, olives and Tsipouro. Really friendly and we were encouraged to taste things - especially the cheese which is all from Greece and labelled all in Greek!
We tried the cheap white wine which they sell in plastic bottles which was much better than we expected and a nice surprise....a light table wine....
