Hi Max

Yes! Brownlow has always been the most difficult part of my daughters' journey to and from school.

However on the downside it seems the footbridge over the North Circular (pictured here) is being dismantled next week - and replaced with a temporary crossing.

Its still a long way from finished but the Transport for London website has a download featuring the final plans for the A406 - which does show several Pelican style crossings around the area.

The closure of Stanley Road at the North Circular is also helful for pedestrians ... but perhaps not for motorists.

I was aware that there is a plan to add a crossig on Brownlow Rd at the North circ junction. After the A406 widening has finished, traffic will no longer be able to turn right into Brownlow from the N. circ to allow for this. Instead traffic will be directed down Warwick Rd. I was told this by a resident so is second hand info..

The Enfield Independent are reporting that the North Circular Road will be closed this weekend between Midnight until 5am on Sunday Morning whilst the work to dismantle and remove the foot bridge takes place.

Makes you wistful for the old days when the North Circular Road was a popular tourist attraction! watch this video:

I've used a few cafes along the A406 and I'm sure this one still exists, much the same menu!  That video is a great find, thanks.
