As requested and to keep you informed, as of today and following officers advice Mc Donald's have withdrawn their planning application and advert applications at 188 Bowes Road.
I have received circa 100 objections, so would appreciate it if the word can be distributed. The applicant may or may not choose to re-submit.

Walking around Wood Green it looks like a few of our landmark buildings are beginning to re-emerge from rebuilding or refurbishment.
At the corner of High Road and Bounds Green Road, after several months the scaffolding is coming down from St Michaels Church; revealing a clean and bright looking spire.

We had a letter from Thames Water the other day saying they were sending round someone to inspect the drains as they investigate pollution in the area.
The bloke came round to us in Lascotts yesterday. Apparently, so far, they've found 300 properties in the immediate area not plumbed in correctly, and they're causing sewage seepage into the New River.
Our landlord got ours right, happily. But apparently some landlords are just refusing to let the inspectors…

Is anyone interested in communal herb-growing on the Bowes Park station platform? Herbs would be grown in large pots, weeded and watered by commuters and harvested as needed by them on their weary way home..
